I love both of these things. We nurtured a golden orb spider in our garden for almost a year. I had no idea they lived that long.She built her web in a perfect spot near our solar garden fairy lights.Whereas a lot of people pull down the web and destroy the spider immediately, our family put tiny crystals and coloured threads in the web (probably annoyed the hell out of the spider!). The whole experience felt so much kinder and in tune than the search and destroy mentality. I was disappointed when she disappeared a few weeks ago, probably taken by a bird. Last week I planted the deep red variety of nasturtiums purchased from the farmers market. Life's pleasure in little things.

I love nasturtiums.. they are such a sweet, simple flower.. and cobwebs.. my grandma use to call them 'spiders lace'
