Say it with flowers

The weather has changed and the Autumn cold has appeared, so despite it being a glorious sunny day it was chilly.
I took this pics this morning walking in the school grounds.
I've got a weekend by myself. Youngest has gone to London to a concert at Wembley Stadium. Booked into his first London hotel with his girlfriend. Which I think's pretty adventrous. Not sure I could have driven there and sorted out tickets and reservations at his age.
As I sit here and look towards my dining room there is a bunch of lilies on the table. Bought for me by him, so I don't get upset cause he'd bought his girlfriend some red roses.
So this evening I'm making me a home made steak pie and have a bottle chilling and a movie to watch.... bliss!

We had cheesy potato....and now--a movie!
Whatever...better not be ooky spooky.....
Just sayin'. LOL

Loved seeing your photos and what a thoughtful son, I think it's lovely that he gave you flowers as well as his girlfriend. Enjoy your peaceful space.

You enjoy those lillies Mandy, and good on your son for tackling London and reservations. Daunting enough for any visitor to do, especially the traffic. Happy week ahead!xx

Did he read that last post? This does not sound like the same son! It is good to see you posting about him in a different light and also sounding as though you had a time yourself, lovely photos.

I was away at the weekend - in mid-Wales where the temperatures were unseasonably high during the day, it was so bright and sunny - so I missed this post. I hope you had a lovely evening in your own good company, and I imagine the steak pie was delicious! x
