Yellow ribbon

My youngest son is home.
18 days early, they need his bed!

Breathing can recommence.

Christmas presents left on his bed
Home cooked food in the fridge

Friends calling round, phoning texting desperate to have contact with him

And even better someone else to walk the dog in the now horrible icy slush
And a trip to Devon can be sorted.

And maybe Sunday he'll have time to talk to me

Short and to the point, especially the last line. Yes, they are like that, in a hurry, in motion, never really wanting to open up any more, except to be angry.
Good to see the two of you.

In retrospect, those years are the toughest for everyone.
