My weekend

 I went to the sea.....
Drove to Anglesey on Friday with the roof down in warm sunshine.
Got to the log cabin, sorted myself out and went for a walk down to the local beach 1 mile away (first two pics)
Back up the hill to cook a supper of steak, salad and champagne!
Saturday the storm had arrived, the start of what we got of Hurricane Katia.. So windy, with showers and sunshine. Parked up and knew that if the tide was out well enough I could do a mile or so walk along the beach of Red Wharf Bay to a wonderful pub, called the Ship Inn. The tide wasn't out far enough so I had to scramble over big wet rocks covered in seaweed, not awfully sensible by myself, but hey!
Got to the pub, unpacked the newspaper from my rucksack. Ordered a fresh crab salad and a glass of wine and entertained myself with all three for a while. By the time I set back off the tide was out and instead of rocks I had storm clouds  chasing me.
Back at the cabin an afternoon nap seemed the perfect thing to do in the howling rain, followed by the rest of the champagne and a vegetable curry.
So whilst there read one and a half books, knitted and watched two movies.
Came back after tidying up ready for my eldest son's visit this weekend and came home.
A perfect weekend of peace and tranquility.
Only trouble is I'm feeling ill again, can't shake off this virus. Which I'm sure is to do with my thyroid levels being shot to bits. Don't get a blood test till 3rd October so gotta bumble along till then being exhausted.
Hey ho, only one dance class I think for me tonight then!

Looks and sounds like you had an excellent time of it. Good job too that we shifted our arrangements to go walking this coming weekend, since I'm just recuperating after a few days of having a virus (hope yours is bearable enough to continue, but let me know if there's any problem).

Sounds like just the weekend you needed. I remember you writing about the champagne last time. looks like a good plan!
Beautiful surroundings even in the stormy weather.

What a fabulous weekend you had, good food and drink, books and movies, but better still ...wonderful beach and stormy clouds. I love the sea in this mood. Take care of yourself, hope you improve quickly.

And there I was rejoicing that you were no longer feeling bad. The fresh, ocean air had to be good for you, not to mention the exercise and champagne. Hope you'll soon send the nasty bug on its way and be feeling better.

*laughing* Well if ME says the champagne is good for you, then I'm all for it!

Make another trip to the sea and have one for me, eh?
I'm trusting that the son-weekend went wonderfully and that you're left knowing how deeply loved you are. (seems he's good at letting you know that, bless his heart)

Champagne and more photos! Wow......weather or not, that's a gorgeous view.
