MY WEEKEND
I've had a wonderful weekend, with warm sunshine, good friends, fun outings champagne, boat trips, walks, retail therapy and scrumptious food.... is there anything to beat that!
Pics are of the Mayflower steps in Plymouth where the settlers set sail for the New World. Prince William Victuallers(can't spell and neither can my spell check!) Yard from the Scott Memorial, where the navy made all the food for the sailors during the Napoleonic Wars, now being made into apartments. A view of Plymouth Sound from the buoy at Drake Island. And two Dartmoor ponies who let me stroke them when we walked to Haytor on Sunday.
No photograph available of my new skirt that retail therapy got me!!!!
Plus freshly baked scones and home made jam at Exmoor Jane's this morning, where, fantastic, if somewhat surreal, conversation took place. As in, being in the middle of a deep and meaningful bit and Jane suddenly exclaims 'don't wipe your scabs on the sofa'. Fortunately I was sitting on the chair at the time, so she must have been talking to the dog that's not Asbo Jack???

Sounds lovely, glad you had a good time :o) x
Glad you had the best time. I was holed up preparing for my poxy interview.
At least I can enjoy Devon second hand. So cant wait to spend whole weekends down there when you finally land. Shall we be naughty? shall we? .... will the men of Devon actually be safe?
Catz, it was lovely, and I had the best time.
QV.... us naughty!!!! I'd have thought so!
xx
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I love the photo of the ponies too. As I just mentioned in my reply to you at the press, lady in red blogged a bit about the black box thing a few days ago, I think it's worth checking out x
Well the photo's are lovely, of course, but the lilt in your words and the beaming radiance that shines through, well thats the best!
So happy to share in the smiles!
Friends, food, and champagne. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me.Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Looks like a nice place.
One of my friends parents live in Plymouth and she said it is a really nice place to go and relax.
Sounds like you had a relaxing time there :)
Crikey - what a lot of catching up I have to do. (Following a bizarre run-in with Neville Chamberlain and very specific paper cups, I've taken the opportunity to do some early hours blog-life maintenance and fixed my feeds. Now slowly catching up...)
Sounds like you've had a fantastic weekend (good food, good ompany and retail therapy can't be at all bad. I recently indulged in some retail therapy of my own, and think I can now see what I've been missing all these years...)
Right, now to work back in time (be warned - you might find the odd comment cropping up in v.old posts)
i rushed over to find beautiful pictures and what sounds like a lovely weekend you've had. i love he first picture of the 2 horses. but even better, you've got a new little black gadget on your sidebar!
You always have such elegant, comforting trips like this. I envy that a lot.
Came indirectly by Black Box - love the photos and fancy following in your footsteps.
Looks like it was a terrific weekend.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and for taking the time to comment.
Oh don't you just LOVE weekends like that?
There's an award for you at my place my dear!
....scrolled through google reader and noticed you lived in Kingston at one point. We were in that area for 25 yrs. Small world....!
Those pictures are gorgeous! What a lovely way to spend a weekend.
I'll post pictures from my next weekend away. Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and the Aesthetician Conference. I doubt they'll be as beautiful as yours are.
At least they weren't MY scabs!! And the man wasn't in the cage anymore so it all seemed quite normal to me....!!
Lovely to see you again.....jxxx
