Six Senses

I read Lyn's version of this post, which she borrowed from Secret Notebooks ( sorry useless at links but they are both on my blog roll if you want to check them out)I liked them both so much I thought I'd do my own. So I've just taken all the photos in the last ten minutes so they really are what's going on right now.
One of the reasons I love this idea for a post is it so like the mindfulness techniques I use at work to get people living in the moment, rather than remembering yesterday and dreaming about tomorrow. So without further ado....

See

I can see my dog sitting by my secret garden as the rain drops onto her fur
I can see the purple Gladioli in the dining room as I type at my desk
I can see the precious objects I surround myself with on my desk, the treasures given to me by people I love.

Hear

I can hear the honey bees taking the nectar from the lavender in my back garden
I can hear the clock ticking in the next room
I can hear my sons music coming from upstairs
I can hear the planes going overhead
I can hear the horses hooves clopping on the road outside on their way back to the stables at the top of the road.

Feel

I can feel the doggy devotion and love from my dog as she sits beside whilst I type.
I can feel the friendship given to me this morning by my friends I had coffee with.
I can feel my son's positive energy as things look up for him and he has a new girl.
I can feel content in myself and happy in this moment.
I can feel the simultaneous rain and sun wetting my toes and warming my legs

Touch

I can touch the soft fur of my dog's head.
I can touch my new longer hair as I flick it off my face.
I can touch my precious things that surround me and remember my friends who all live far away.

Smell

I can smell the sweet cloying smell of the Butterfly bush.
I can smell the cup of coffee beside me.
I can smell the rose perfumed body lotion on my skin.

Taste

I can taste the sweet and tart raspberries I had for lunch.
I can taste the coffee that lingers in my mouth.
