Going to the smoke

Going to London on the train later to stay with my big son.
Meeting up with my utterly gorgeous niece for lunch. She's down from Liverpool having a job interview and staying with her boyfriend.
Then we'll all meet up and just hang out.
Tomorrow cause it's going to be a lovely warm sunny day Kit and I are going on an open top bus to see the sites. He's lived there three years now and I lived there in my 20s and neither of us have done this before. But when I was visiting my old neighbours in Oxford a couple of weeks ago we did it for fun and it's a really great way to as a place you think you know really well.
Of course I was the infuriating woman on the bus who did know that there is another Bridge of Sighs in Cambridge and the names of Henry VIIIs wives!!!
So it will be interesting to check out what I know about London!
Then Saturday night I'm going with Kit to see Billie Elliot. This is the first time I'll have been to theatre in London since I worked there and saw the fabulous Chorus Line.
The theatre tickets are my Christmas present from Kit. He started this wonderful trend when he bought me two tickets for last years birthday to go Kew Gardens to see Jools Holland, a wonderfully memorable night out.
Wonder if he'd like to do the same again and see Jamie Cullum this year??
Hope you have a lovely weekend with people you love.

What a wonderful time you are going to have; your son sounds very thoughtful. I love spending time with my son, it is so special. I shall be thinking of you in London, seeing the sights and going to the theatre. I did just that in my 20's when I lived and worked in London for a few years. I would so love to be able to go back - it's a tad far from NZ to just pop over!
Enjoy all.

Sounds like a fabulous visit! Hope you post some pics and tell us all about it! Billie Elliot sounds great,I would love to go to the theater. It is so costly here & I rarely go :( I should make it more of a priority.
Enjoy! And have a Blessed Weekend♥

I hope you have a totally wonderful time! My friend Jenny and I did the open top bus tour a couple of years ago and, despite having lived in London for five years, I found out loads that I didn't know...it was great!

Look forward to hearing all about it!
