Saturday was a wonderful sunny but cold day, perfect for walking 6 miles. It wasn't an arduous walk, neither Trousers or I wanted to go up in the hills. So it was a circular walk around the canals and through the country park. With a stop at the top of the only serious hill in the park for a coffee in the sunshine. Then continuing onward to the pub for a pie and a pint.We walked for two hours in total.
We saw a heron, a peregrine falcon being chased by a crow, some swans and an awful lot of ice where the canals were frozen. We both spent time throwing stones on the ice seeing if we could break it, answer in some places yes, others no.

Sounds like the perfect day. A tasty pie and a pint, did you really have a pint or was it just half I wonder?
