Gratiude

I am so tired
I am so sad
I am so broken.
But I am also so loved
and so cherished
by so many people
That even though it is going to be a tough few weeks
I know I will get through it because of that love
And I can't thank my friends and family enough for being there
I can never repay my debt of gratitude.

My son has been sent to prison for 16 weeks, gets out in 8 for good behaviour hopefully.

Broken is mendable. In time you will be patched back together. For now let your friends be the glue.

*sigh* "That which doesn't kill us will make us stronger"--geeze, I hated that 'true' statement. It sure felt like it was going to kill me when they carted the boy off to jail. I made it to the other side, as did he.....and will you and yours...

The tricky part is to let those folks BE there for you--leastwise it was tricky for me.
You can do it--minute by minute, day by day...... Let them.
You've got a whole parcel of folks who're willing....just keep letting them.

<-- ain't goin' nowhere

*huge hugs*
Know I'm thinking of you and sending angels....

As a bloggie friend, I hope I've made you laugh, and I've shared the tears, but this is hand-holding stuff, and let me join in this network of caring people to let you know that you have been thought of and supported through all this, some of us from oceans away. You are indeed special Mandy. I cannot begin to understand how this must feel. I know it's "until you've walked a mile in my shoes"- but let me tell you, I am there beside you every step of the way, even if it is an electronic device that gets me there! Ditto to the comments above. You are cared about. So is this situation.Take care of yourself and allow others to also. xxx

Yes you'll get through it. And if there's anything I can do, don't hesitate. Please.

Thinking of you.

you're lucky: you know where your angel wings will come from.

was it hemingway who said we come back stronger in the broken places?

i'm personally counting on that, and why not come along for that hopeful ride with me?

ah Mandy - big stuff eh. Another truism 'this too shall pass' - stay strong and you will both pull through this. thinking of you and sending long distance hugs. let us know how you are, and how things are going. you are never alone xxx

So difficult. I hope your son goes through the experience without too much pain. And as the mother, may you have some kind of faith that it will all work out, eventually. xx

Oh Mandy, I am so sorry to hear that.
I agree with Grammy, time will fly and in no time he'll be back by your side again.
Not that it's much of a help, because your feeling it right here and now... but at least, the future will be brighter.
Sending you many hugs and much love.
xx

Been thinking of you and wondering what was going to happen with him. This is awful, but let's hope the time flies by, and we know he's going to qualify for good behaviour. I think you will need to reschedule that new year once more - 2010 sounds like a good start! sending lots of love and best wishes from over here xx

So sorry, Mandy.
Thank you for caring enough to come and visit, it meant a lot to me. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only soul out there, being honest about feelings, and life as it happens without censure. I can see that you too, are in terrible pain and are not afraid to speak your truth. God Bless you, and keep you and your son, safe.
Sometimes, for whatever reason in someone's life, there is no-one to talk things over with. You know, the big stuff.
My blog is my confidante, my sanity, and my friend.I use it to express my life's truth.May you get the same comfort from your blog, and your circle of wise women.xx♥

Oh dear Mandy, I've been away from blogging too long, I see. I am so very, very sorry. You know you are loved here, and that is good. Let's hope this puts him on the right track, so you can soon put this heartache behind you.

Sending you lots of hugs and love,
xoxoxo
