I woke up at 3.50am turned on the radio realised what was being said and had to come and turn on the TV,and burst into tears of joy
It is just unbelievable that a 39 black man has done it. Has become the 44th President of the United States of America. 306 electoral votes versus 145, with more to follow

Can you believe it!! It is 10pm here in California and we cannot believe it is over. Incredible. I should NOT have gone to work today, did absolutly nothing but stare at my computor and watch the results come in. Wow.Wow.

Thank goodness... Maybe now we can repair what was done wrong by our government in the past eight years. We now have a President who actually understands the value of humanity and community. He's one of us.

About the German - I once clicked on the translation button for one of Val`s posts, and you can`t belive how silly the translation was! I`d rather have English then.
