The Moon

Seemingly for weeks we've had no clear skies at night, and I've had no idea what stage the moon has been at. This evening at 5pm I found out, as I stood in my kitchen and saw this. I went outside on my drive to take these pics. I'm facing a beech hedge and the trees down my road.I just thought it was beautiful.

Now at 10.30 it's very cold outside and frosty and the sky is still wonderfully clear, but my camera is not good enough to take pictures of the moon in the height of the sky.

Hope this clear sky bodes well for a good day tomorrow as going on a serious walk with Trousers. The second this week. First one was torture of a 5 mile round trip down and up two hills with a 14% incline in fog and rain. Followed a few hours later by my first attendance at a salsa class! Oh and an hour of serious Pilates this morning. Nothing like being a glutton for punishment.

I will deserve my Lazy Sunday Afternoon! Anyone who is old enough to know who sang those lyrics is as old as me! And could possibly win a prize for answering correctly

Woooooooo, wooooooo!
I keep an iGoogle icon on my computer home page showing the stages of the moon and I did know there is a full moon in Oregon tonight ~ though it is cloudy here and I probably won't see it.

It's funny that you mention the moon ... when I was driving home I noticed that it was a huge glowing saucer hanging in the sky ... I considered taking a pic but it was minus 15 so I just dashed! have a great weekend Mandy.

So glad you had a clear sky moment for the lovely moon! Enjoy that lazy Sunday.. we all deserve one :)

Been catching up again, and particularly enjoyed your post on mindfulness, and of course all the other wonderful words, as usual!

Oh how pretty. It was too cloudy here last night to see anything. We seem to be getting a lot of cloudy nights but clear skies during the day instead, which of course is lovely as the sun is out now!
Enjoy your walk and your lazy Sunday which will be well deserved!
xx

Wasn't the moon spectacular this month?! I heard somewhere that it was called the "Wolf Moon" this month.

I hope you had a nice long walk with trousers.

I feel no need to comment about the sanity level of anyone who does that AND knows that song....which, of course, I've never heard of.

very beautiful! I was disappointed in our "Blue Moon" view from Indiana last night. I had so anticipated a beauty, but it was too cloudy & spooky!

Whoops Miss R, I sincerely apologise it was a Blue Moon down under!!!

Of course I remember that song! And we had the wonderful moon here, too - after a terrible snowstorm all afternoon. Now the sun is out and everything looks fantastic, but there will be a lot of snow shovelling to be done. Will send you more pictures! Thanks for this post.
